Fiona Watson
Dental Hygienist/Therapist
Fiona has been involved in the dental industry since 1977. She gained her start working in Dental Therapy in Sydney and country New South Wales, before heading overseas to spend a year working in London in various practices and specialist clinics – an experience proved invaluable in developing her expertise in orthodontics and oral surgery.
Fiona graduated as a Dental Hygienist in 1988 and has been working with Dr Simon Willcox since 1995.
Fiona is a clinical tutor for the Bachelor of Oral Health and Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Adelaide University as well as for the Advanced Diploma of Dental Hygiene at TAFE SA. She has also held positions as an examiner for the BOH and ADOH courses as well as the ADC registration examination for overseas trained hygienists.
Fiona has developed a holistic approach to her profession and places a strong emphasis on prevention and education. She believes understanding her patient’s needs and developing good relationships is central to achieving successful long-term outcomes for their oral health. Fiona is married with 3 sons.
